Following the inaugral launch in 2021, as part of QLD Seniors Month in October, Seniors Perform returns with a set of comedic staged One-Act Radio Plays that will have audiences laughing in the aisles.
Mona Lisa's Toes:
Who could have stolen the painting, Mona Lisa’s Toe, at the Pink Pekingese Hotel, a residence for seniors? Was it Myra who preferred paintings of dogs? Or was it Fern, who lost her appetite every time she looked at it? What about Millie, the maid, who had to clean it? Roll up for this madcap radio farce!
The Quibbles:
Seniors Perform presents four of The Quibbles Radio Shows, a collection of comedy sketches, reminiscent of radio shows of the ’40s and ’50’s, featuring a delightfully quarrelsome couple, Carol and Quentin Quibble, in the hilarious skirmishes of everyday life. Carol is a well-meaning helpmate, eager to improve herself and her husband. Quentin is mostly interested in golf. Their next door neighbor, Madge, is the town busybody.
The Radio Show
The Radio Show is a play within a play set in a radio station studio. Angry at having to work together, the guest actor and actress go off script. The kisses she used to give him are not the only things these two have faked. A fun show with a twist!
Radio KRZY
This is a farcical, wacky comedy about the shenanigans, backstage drama, and on-air screw-ups, of the cast and crew of a small-town radio station, where everything goes a little KRAZY.
Director: Suzanne Kelly; Proudly supported by COTA Queensland.
